Description
What is tofu?
While we have been producing protein rich tofu for 2 decades, it has been consumed in Asia for more than 2000 years. Its production is a very natural process to this day: soya beans are boiled to get soya drink which is then coagulated to form a curd and pressed into tofu blocks. Bon Vegan tofu is firm and dense and have a slight sour taste due to our production method. We use only non – GMO soya beans that come from Europe.
How to prepare tofu?
Unseasoned tofu is an excellent basis for any recipe that needs plant-based protein. As it is mostly tasteless, we recommend to season tofu to your liking and fry it before adding it to dishes. But tofu can also be coated with crumbs into tofu sticks for example or mashed into a protein-rich cutlet mix. We love to prepare our tofu in a special way, however – coated with nutritional yeast
You need:
– 1 block of Bon tofu
– soy sauce
– nutritional yeast
1. Preheat oven to 200 C
2. Cut tofu to slices and add a drop of soy sauce to both sides, spread evenly. Then press both sides of the slice into nutritional yeast
3. Place tofu slices to oven rack/pan and cook for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
